According to the Old Farmer’s Almanac, the September Full Moon is called the Harvest Moon because that was when the corn harvests traditionally started.
This Full Moon is a culmination of the New Moon in Virgo that we had approx. 2 weeks ago; thus, any intentions or wishes we set around that time we should be able to see their first “fruits” during this Full Moon. If the results we are able to see now are according to our plans and we would like to move forward with them, we just re-enforce the intention at this time, but if what we are getting as a result is not what we’ve wanted, then this is the best window in time to shed and let go of the old plans, intentions and plant new ones with the lessons learned from the previous tries.
With Ascendant in Gemini and its ruler Mercury conjunct the Sun in Libra, this full moon is mostly related to talking and learning about relationships and partnerships, however the opposite Moon in Aries calls on action and making fast decisions not just talking about ideas.
With Venus (in Scorpio), relationships can feel very intense and fated as if it’s a matter of life and death and decisions need to made quick. However, the same aspect can bring a lot of healing if the people involved are used to this type of energy and are able to navigate the waves of extreme lows and extreme highs with courage and determination so that the outcome can be transformative and can bring growth for all involved.
Venus (in Scorpio) and Mars (in Aquarius) which are the rulers of both Sun and Moon for this lunation, act in disagreement and a frustrating energy surrounds a relationship, a decision or a partnership that is looking for resolution. However, the answers come from one of the parties that has developed a mature soul Saturn (in Capricorn) and will be able to come with a practical and stable solution, thus the energies will settle down by the end of this transit.
Another important aspect regarding the Full Moon in Aries is that it will be conjunct Chiron – the minor planet – that acts like an asteroid, aspect that can bring some old wounds to the surface related to an ex partner or an older relationship that still has some influence on us and requires more attention in order to make peace with it. A current relationship can actually trigger those loose buttons. Now, it will be easier for us to speak and talk about it more openly so that the emotion that was stuck unhealed can be witnessed and accepted.
Also, Mars back in Aquarius now conjuncts the South Node and opposites the North Node or the line of destiny how I like to call it, suggesting a desire to share and give for the sake of creating a new path and a new way of relating that it’s more fulfilling and more in tune with our hearts. Just make sure you don’t over give to compensate a lack of previous involvement or because of feeling guilty as the energy will not be created from a source of love but more from a feeling of lack and fear.
Another worth mentioning aspect is the trine that Neptune make with Venus and Jupiter – it’s like a harmonious aspect of divine love in a sea of confusion that protects us and show us that underneath all turbulence there’s always peace and calmness that can be easily accessed by letting go and being open to reconnect to our source.

I also felt to draw a Tarot card for this lunar cycle and the card that came out was The Fool. Very relevant due to Aries (sign of the Full Moon) being the first sign where our journey around the zodiac starts. The keywords for this card are: Beginnings, innocence, spontaneity, a free spirit.
Interpretation: We are at the beginning of a new journey (relationship, project, idea, etc) having an innocent and free-spirited attitude with no expectations and previous conceptions of how that journey will manifest or develop. There is always advice, protection and loyalty from someone close to us that will accompany us along the journey even if it’s just from far or with words of encouragement. The attitude that we adopt is more important than the challenges ahead, making it easier for us to navigate with an open heart, with faith and hope in order to tackle the lessons that are ready to be learned in order to fulfill out purpose.
Happy Full Moon!
