Saturn transiting Aquarius – March 21-July 1, 2020 and December 17, 2020-March 7, 2023
On March 21st, 2020 Saturn enters Aquarius. Saturn changes signs only once every 2 and a half years, so this is an important transit. Saturn rules both Capricorn (where it was until this new transit) and traditionally, Aquarius meaning the planet is still in domicile and will initially spend 3 months in Aquarius – to give us a preview of a longer cycle of this transit – then it will retrograde back into Capricorn, and move into Aquarius for good in December 2020 until March 2023
As the last planet visible to the naked eye, Saturn has always represented humanity’s boundaries between what is and what could be or the seen and the unseen worlds.
Saturn feels secure, strong at home in Aquarius, but finds a different kind of expression and vibration than when residing in the home of Capricorn where it was surrounded by dense stone and earthly energy. In Aquarius, the slow and steady planet will be surrounded by air and directed outward, reorganizing structures and boundaries in order to make community connections, share information, and develop innovations or new technology.
We will need to develop or use existing traits such as: being more social, active, inspiring, encouraging connecting, supportive, collaborative.
Aquarius energy is humanitarian in nature and being the sign that rules progress, technology and collective action – power to the people – It is full of boundless ideas about what will improve the lives of others, and how shared efforts can make the world a better place.
Saturn enters the playground of visionaries, inventors, and creators. But being an air sign, things exist primarily on the mental plane and when grounded and pragmatic Saturn moves into Aquarius, the two inspire each other to create action and manifest those great plans and visions we’ve been putting aside for too long for being too futuristic, too crazy, too out of this world, or simply way out of our comfort zone etc
Saturn entering Aquarius will trigger an immediate change by forming a dynamic and challenging aspect with Uranus currently in Taurus. We will feel this square like a turbulent impact that will make us question the boundaries we’ve set in our life and beginning a process of restructuring them. Rather than holding on to old conceptions we have been attached to, we will become more interested in experimenting and beginning to think outside the box, break free from whatever the status quo has been for us.
Those with Natal Saturn in Aquarius as well as Leo (the opposite sign) will mark their Saturn return and opposition respectively. They will receive their first impression of the themes involving responsibility, maturity, discipline, and endurance that will become intensified as Saturn steadily moves closer to the degree of their natal Saturn. In a similar way, those with Saturn in Scorpio and Taurus will experience also a maturity check demanding accountability and responsibility with regards to whatever issues arise.
These are the areas of life that will be influenced by Saturn transit through Aquarius for each zodiac sign (search for Natal sign, Ascendant, or Moon if known):
Aries: friends, future plans, aspirations, ideals.
Taurus: career, public image, reputation, social status.
Gemini: beliefs, principles, relationships with foreigners, studies.
Cancer: renunciation, power, sexuality, unpaid money, loans.
Leo: relationships, couple, association, marriage.

With Saturn moving here, the Age of Aquarius is installing.
Blessings,
Isabela
